Headache and Migraine Treatment

trudenta-sealOur practice now offers the TruDenta® treatment program for patients suffering from headaches and migraines. Symptoms like severe headaches, facial pain, and TMJ Disorder can be the result of problems with your joints and muscles. The TruDenta® program helps our dentists, Dr. Konstantine Trichas and Dr. Kevin Ma, discover the reasons behind your discomfort and determine a treatment solution.

TruDenta® Treatment Program

Many people are unaware of how much their overall health is affected by the condition and forces of their muscles, nerves, ligaments, joints, tendons, and bones. When an improper function of muscles and joints occurs in the mouth, jaw, head, or neck, it can lead to a variety of symptoms, including: neck pain, tinnitus, headaches, jaw pain, vertigo, and others. TruDenta® is a state-of-the-art program designed to measure, diagnose, and treat these symptoms. This methodology involves a variety of therapeutic methods from fields such as prosthodontics and sports medicine combined with advanced technology to help reduce your pain. The TruDenta® program doesn’t require needles or surgery and offers a painless way to minimize symptoms caused by improper joint/muscle functions in the jaw, teeth, head, and mouth. With TruDenta® technology, Dr. Trichas and Dr. Ma can quickly examine your bite and other contributing factors to determine the source of your pain and develop a customized treatment plan.

The TruDenta® Treatment Process

Your dentist will begin the TruDenta® process by giving you a questionnaire. This gives us a closer look at your medical history, symptoms, and possible events that may have contributed to your health condition (such as accidents, previous dental work, bad posture, head trauma and other factors). Next, a diagnostic tool will inspect the balance of your jaw and measure the force of your bite. The TruDenta® digital bite force analysis gives our dentist a close look at how it is affecting your mouth, head, neck, and jaw. Then, an advanced technological device will be used to closely examine and calculate the movement of your head and neck. It’s digital report is designed to be highly accurate and should reveal any irregularities found in the movement. Finally, your dentist will perform a physical examination of your teeth, neck, head, mouth, and jaw for other possible causes of your symptoms. After your diagnostic tests and evaluations are complete, he can develop a treatment solution using common therapy and rehabilitation programs found in sports medicine. Each treatment generally lasts around 50 minutes. The number and frequency of your treatment appointments depend on the severity of your symptoms; however, patients have been known to achieve significant, even complete pain relief in under twelve treatments.
